Inner Covenant, Eternal Salvation
2 Samuel 23:5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Outward life may not align with God, yet the speaker asserts that God has made an everlasting covenant with him, ordered in all things and sure. This covenant is described as his complete salvation and his deepest desire, regardless of outward growth.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, the words reveal the truth that the realm of God is not a future event to be earned but a present state of consciousness to be realized. Although my house is not thus with God, the covenant remains fixed in the I AM, an eternal agreement between the self and its divine source. 'Ordered in all things' speaks of the inner arrangement—every incident, tendency, and turn of fate is already directed by the inner state you accept as true. Your salvation and your desire are not hopes but the very content of your being, a living covenant you can feel now, even when appearances deny growth. The outward house may seem barren, yet the inner covenant is untouched, continuous, and sure; it forgives no breaks yet requires no proof from the senses. Practice turning away from the pull of lack and resting in the certainty that the I AM has established you in this covenant. Let your imagination attend to the end: you stepping into the life your covenant guarantees.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the end: 'I am under an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure.' Feel the security as a present sensation; each breath asserts 'this salvation and desire are mine now.'
