Read 2 Samuel 22 in context

Scripture Focus

7In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.
2 Samuel 22:7

Biblical Context

In distress, one calls on the LORD, and the divine hearing is present; the cry goes to God who dwells in His temple.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice that the distress is not a distant problem but a state of consciousness demanding your attention. 'Calling upon the LORD' is not begging a far-off deity; it is the shifting of your awareness to the I AM within. The 'temple' is your own consciousness, the sacred chamber of perception where all sounds of limitation are heard and softened by love. When you cry, your energy enters that temple and is attended to by the divine listening within. The verse teaches that God hears your voice because you are not separate from Him; you are the I AM hearing itself. Providence and mercy awaken as you persist in the assumption that the Lord is always present, always attentive. Your present feelings can be revised by reimagining the inner response as already given—your cry is not ignored but answered in the currency of inner certainty. Practice by dwelling in the conviction that the temple within responds with guidance, relief, and direction.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe, and assume the state: 'I am heard by God within me now.' Feel the temple listening and answer as if you already have the relief and guidance.
