Inner Submission of Fear
2 Samuel 22:45-46 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Samuel 22 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verses speak of 'strangers'—inner fears or influences—being asked to submit and obey. They then fade from the hidden places, as you align with your true I AM.
Neville's Inner Vision
Strangers here are not outsiders at a gate but inner states—fear, doubt, and habits of thought that have seemed foreign to the I AM you truly are. "Submitting unto me" is your decision to yield to the inner law of consciousness—the I AM—hearing the still inner voice that you are, and obeying by walking in its light. As you hold this assumption, the outer appearances rearrange to match it; the inner voices that once cried out in the "close places" of mind grow quiet. The line that they "shall fade away" is not external conquest but the natural thinning of thoughts you no longer identify with. The Kingdom of God is the realized fact that you are the sovereign presence within; accountability arises as you see you authored your experience by the beliefs you persist in. The practical invitation is to dwell in the awareness of the I AM and permit fear to bow before that truth, until what remains is a clear, harmonious field where meaning is created by conscious choice.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: In a quiet moment, assume the I AM and invite any fear or stranger-state to submit to your inner authority; feel it bow and fade as you rest in the realization of the Kingdom of God within.
