The Inner Chariot of Light

2 Samuel 22:11-13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Samuel 22 in context

Scripture Focus

11And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind.
12And he made darkness pavilions round about him, dark waters, and thick clouds of the skies.
13Through the brightness before him were coals of fire kindled.
2 Samuel 22:11-13

Biblical Context

The verses depict God riding on a cherub through darkness with wind beneath, while brightness and fire appear ahead. They symbolize divine presence guiding through obscurity.

Neville's Inner Vision

Be still and listen: you are the I AM, and the cherub is your own imagination lifting you beyond limiting thoughts. The wings of the wind express your awareness as it gathers you into a higher state. Darkness, waters, and thick clouds are the beliefs that pretend to obscure you; they are only thoughts that can be revised. Before you, brightness appears, and coals of fire kindle—your inner illumination awakening to truth. This is not a historical event outside you; it is the movement of consciousness toward greater realization that God is Presence now. When you identify with the mover—the I AM—you invite Providence to guide every perception. The chariot becomes your mental atmosphere, and the journey through the night becomes the birth of certainty that you are always where the divine is: within you, as you.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling-state: I am the I AM and I ride my inner chariot now; revise any sense of separation by dwelling in the brightness that leads the way.
