Inner Atonement in 2 Samuel
2 Samuel 21:3-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
David asks the Gibeonites how to make atonement so they may bless the LORD's inheritance. The request is a symbolic act of seeking inner reconciliation with the covenant.
Neville's Inner Vision
David’s question, What shall I do for you? is the I AM at the door of your heart asking for a method by which consciousness might correct a rift within itself. The Gibeonites stand for the hidden claims that keep the mind from blessing the inheritance of the LORD—those memories and fears that would deny you your wholeness. When they answer, Let seven of his sons be delivered unto us, they point to seven stubborn beliefs or habits in you that have borne the likeness of Saul’s downfall. The act of delivering them to us, to be hung up unto the LORD, becomes an inner discipline: you surrender those old thoughts to the altar of your higher consciousness, allowing the old pattern to die in the light of a truer interpretation. And the king’s word, I will give them, is your decisive act to let go, to revise the scene in imagination, and to declare that the inheritance of the LORD is safe in your care. As you consent to this inner sacrifice, the veil lifts and the true covenant—the I AM awareness of you—reappears, blessing your life with renewed order and justice.
Practice This Now
Take a current concern and note seven beliefs or objections that keep it alive; imagine delivering these to the inner altar and hang them up to the LORD. Then feel it real by affirming, The inheritance of the LORD is mine now.
