Inner Judgment of Sheba

2 Samuel 20:21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Samuel 20 in context

Scripture Focus

21The matter is not so: but a man of mount Ephraim, Sheba the son of Bichri by name, hath lifted up his hand against the king, even against David: deliver him only, and I will depart from the city. And the woman said unto Joab, Behold, his head shall be thrown to thee over the wall.
2 Samuel 20:21

Biblical Context

A rebel against the king is named. A woman's promise to deliver his head marks a decisive moment of judgment.

Neville's Inner Vision

Consider the posture of the king within as the I AM. The man of mount Ephraim is a rebellious thought rising to challenge that king in your inner city. The demand deliver him only and I will depart is the moment you grant a belief power to govern your state of mind, even for a breath. The speaking woman embodies your inner willingness to hear truth and enact justice; Joab's agreement to remove the threat shows that you may meet a claim with action that does not empower the thought but simply clears it away. The real work is to refuse the rebel's demand, deliver the thought to awareness, and let it die at the fortress gates of your consciousness. When you do, the city remains under the king's protection and the illusion of threat dissolves. You are invited to know that your sovereignty is sure when you align with I AM and feel the reality of the kingdom here and now.

Practice This Now

Assume I AM the sole king of my inner city; revise the troubling thought as a non-binding belief and feel it real dissolving, releasing the city into peace.
