Biblical Context
David declares a final settlement: the land is to be divided between two parties, ending the dispute.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within every man, the king is the I AM, the living awareness. The land is the field of experience, the inner geography where thoughts and feelings take root. Here the verse speaks of a final settlement: a decree from the king that two inner claims, one named by Ziba and the other by a rival state, are to share the same domain. When the king says I have said, a decisive moment occurs: consciousness closes endless debate and assigns possession according to a higher law. This is not a political quarrel but a shift in inner weather. By consenting to a measured division, one part reserved for what you no longer need and one part allocated to what is genuinely useful, you restore order, righteousness, and peace to the inner kingdom. The effect is practical: stop rehashing old grievances and begin imagining the settled outcome you desire, as though it were already in place. Your attention becomes the land, and the I AM your rightful landlord, inviting you to live from the finished result.
Practice This Now
Practice: close your eyes and assume the finished decree. Address the inner I AM and declare that the inner land is settled and divided; feel the relief as the two inner states fall into their rightful places and dwell in the imagined outcome.
