Grace Before the Throne
2 Samuel 14:22-23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Joab bows before the king, thanking him for granting his request. The king’s favor is shown, and Joab then goes to bring Absalom back to Jerusalem.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider the scene as a portrait of your inner state. The king is your I AM, the throne is your awakened consciousness, and Joab is the agent of your ordinary thoughts bowing in humility before the awareness that you now recognize as king. When Joab says, 'I have found grace in thy sight,' he is describing a shift in feeling: the sense that the inner governor has heard and approved a previously desired movement. The bow is the alignment of your outer attention with the inner decree; to bow is to yield to the truth that you have already made the decision within. The act of bringing Absalom back is the manifestation of reconciliation within your own house—reunifying a part of you long estranged by conflict—made possible by the king's gracious response. In Neville's terms, imagine the end you desire and live from that end now. The king’s decision is your decision, and grace is the energy that makes it real in your world. Your present is a faithful echo of the consciousness you accept as true; thus, the outward event follows inward certainty.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, close your eyes, and assume you are already granted the thing you seek. Feel the I AM within, bow to that inner king, and continue from the knowing that the desired outcome is done.
