Inner Provision for Life and Godliness
2 Peter 1:3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Peter 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse states that God's divine power has already given us everything needed for life and godliness, accessed through knowing the one who calls us to glory and virtue.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you, the divine power is not distant; it is a present presence that has already endowed you with all that life and godliness require. 'According as' marks a present alignment of your consciousness with the I AM—the you that is called to glory and virtue. The 'divine power' is your awakened awareness, a fountain that supplies through inner recognition of Him you know. The words 'through the knowledge of him' become an inner knowing: you come to know the I AM who calls you to radiance and virtue, and in that knowing every lack is transfigured into strength. Your daily life will reflect this realization as you assume you already possess all things needed. When you dwell in that assumption, thoughts, feelings, and choices harmonize with life-giving and godlike conduct. The outer world will follow the inner state you entertain. So practice turning from perceived lack to the fact of inner provision, and let the feeling of 'I AM' govern your world.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Close your eyes, rest in the I AM within, and repeat 'I am already supplied with life and godliness.' Feel the reality as if it were present now, and act from that inner assurance.
