2 Peter 1:10

Biblical Context

2 Peter 1:10 urges believers to diligently secure their calling and election by cultivating virtuous qualities; by doing so, they won't stumble.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your calling and election are not distant events waiting for a judgment; they are inner states of awareness you choose to inhabit. The verse bids you give diligence to make that state sure by tending the inner movements of faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness, and charity. When you treat these qualities as realities you already possess, you stop looking to outside signs and begin living from the I AM that you are. In this light, the “shall never fall” is not about avoiding failure in the world, but about staying fused with the truth of your being so that outer appearances conform to it. The self that performs these movements is the same I AM within you—the divine you whose calling is to express, here and now, as confidence, resilience, and holiness. Do not chase outcomes; maintain the inner state and let life reflect the assurance. By repeatedly choosing this inner alignment, you anchor yourself in the very consciousness that has already chosen you, and every circumstance becomes a witness to your stable, chosen life.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Spend 5 minutes daily assuming the state—silently affirm, 'I am called and chosen,' and feel the reality filling your chest; whenever doubt arises, revise your moment to that assurance and act from it.
