The Inner Promises Unveiled
2 Peter 1:1-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Peter 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Peter writes to those who share a precious faith with the apostles, promising grace and peace through the knowledge of God and Jesus. God’s divine power has supplied everything needed for life and godliness, and through these promises we become partakers of the divine nature, escaping worldly corruption.
Neville's Inner Vision
Peter’s message is a guide for the interior life. The faith he writes about is your state of consciousness, not a creed you argue about. Grace and peace are multiplied as you become aware of the God and Lord within you. Divine power has already supplied all that concerns life and godliness; the evidence is found in your awareness, in the knowledge of Him who has called you to glory and virtue. The 'exceeding great and precious promises' are invitations to stand in a dimension where you already possess them, so that you may partake of the divine nature and escape the corruption of this world by moving from suspicion to certainty. If you repeatedly insist that the promises are true for you, you will awaken as the one who already holds and uses them. The outer world will reflect the inner alignment, and what you see as fate is simply your inner assumption becoming the visible.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and adopt the feeling of 'I AM' as your constant. Then declare: 'Grace and peace are multiplied within me; I already possess life and godliness through the knowledge of God.' Hold that feeling for a few breaths and let it rewrite your sense of reality.
