Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jehu arrives at Jezreel and executes judgment on Jezebel; she is thrown down and dies, fulfilling the LORD's word.
Neville's Inner Vision
Jezebel here is the image of a ruling self—old habit personified. Jehu’s arrival is the moment consciousness meets its own declared authority. The window and the eunuchs signify the inner support groups that either prop up or resist the new state. When Jehu asks who is on my side, he invites you to choose alignment with your higher self, not a battle with a person. To throw her down is the revocation of an old claim to sovereignty; the fall and splatter on wall and horse are the visible consequence of clinging to a worn identity. Afterward he eats and drinks, an inner calm following decisive action, a sign that a new state has taken rank within. The LORD’s word spoken by the Tishbite is your inner law: in the portion of Jezreel the old image is laid to rest so nothing of it remains to tell the tale. By recognizing this as a dream of form dissolving, you claim the kingly life your I AM already knows as real.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: In quiet, assume the feeling of kingship now. Visualize Jezebel’s image being thrown down and dissolving, while you welcome the I AM as ruler over your inner Jezreel.
