Jezebel's Final Moment
2 Kings 9:30-33 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jehu arrives at Jezreel and Jezebel, clinging to vanity, looks out a window. She is cast down by others and killed, illustrating a dramatic moment of judgment.
Neville's Inner Vision
Jezebel here is not a person but a state of consciousness: vanity wearing a royal robe to resist the new reign of truth within. When Jehu enters, the question 'Who is on my side?' becomes your inner yes or no: which faculty will rule your mind today? The eunuchs are the habits and beliefs that line the court of your former self, ready to do the bidding of the ruling idea. The command 'Throw her down' is an inner act: you permit the old image to fall, and the blood and the trampling symbolize the clearing of attachment so the new king—your I AM—walks sovereignly on the wall of your inner sanctuary. In that moment, judgment is not vindictive punishment but the alignment of your consciousness with justice and sovereignty. The outer scene becomes a visible reflection of your inner victory: the old queen dies as your inner king takes his throne. Remember, the true ruler of your world is the I AM within you.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In a moment of quiet, assume the feeling 'I am the ruler of my mind.' Revise a lingering vanity thought by stating, 'That old me is dead; the I AM sits on this throne,' and feel the new king coming in.
