Biblical Context
A king sends a messenger to consult the prophet about recovering from a disease. The scene points to seeking guidance from the inner God to bring about healing.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the inner translation of this verse, the king is the state that desires healing; the envoy is the movement of attention carrying your petition to the source within. The man of God stands for the higher I AM, the inner oracle who knows what is true. Inquire of the LORD by him becomes: consult your inner authority and ask, Are you well? The illness you feel is a belief, a picture in consciousness, not a fact in fact. When you turn in faith to the inside, you invite the answer that healing is already accomplished in your consciousness. The response is not a distant miracle but a remembered truth returning to you as certainty. The instruction to take a present in hand is a symbolic offering of readiness—your willingness to align with wholeness. So, the moment you assume the feeling of restoration, you are attending to the I AM and let the outer conditions reconcile to your inner revelation. Healing becomes your present state, not a future event.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, place your entire attention on the inner God, and declare silently: I am whole now. Hold that conviction in the body until it resonates as real.
