Proclaiming Inner Good Tidings

2 Kings 7:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Kings 7 in context

Scripture Focus

9Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king's household.
2 Kings 7:9

Biblical Context

Verse 7:9 shows the lepers saying this is a day of good tidings and deciding not to keep silent, then going to tell the king's household.

Neville's Inner Vision

Here the lepers are not distant beggars; they are states of consciousness within you that have discovered abundance in the inner world. 'This day is a day of good tidings' proclaims that your awareness has found the news of fulfillment. If you tarry in doubt, you invite the old fear to rule your morning; when you assume the truth and speak it, the whole mind moves toward its natural abundance. The 'king's household' is the ruling thoughts and the field of life governed by I AM—the you that rules perception. By rising and sharing the tidings with that household, you enact the practice Neville calls feeling it real: you acknowledge 'I am the abundance that was always here' and let the world adjust to it. Mercy and love of neighbor unfold as you refuse to hoard the revelation; you tell the self and others, awakening redemption and a brighter atmosphere. The inner proclamation becomes salvation, a shift from lack to plenitude within.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly and assume the inner state of abundance as your own; feel it real for 60 seconds, then verbally acknowledge to yourself, 'I am abundance now, and I bring it to every part of my life.'
