Inner Birth of Promises
2 Kings 4:14-17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
A barren woman is promised a son by the prophet, symbolizing the awakening of a desired inner state. The timing of birth sits in the inner season of life, waiting for consciousness to align.
Neville's Inner Vision
The 'woman' in this tale is your present state of consciousness, seemingly barren of the manifestation you seek. When the servant asks what should be done, and Gehazi says she has no child, you are being shown that lack has existed as belief. Elisha's call to 'call her' invites the inner self to recognize and invoke the seed of your desired state. The line about 'this season, according to the time of life' is the law of inner timing—within your I AM there is a season when the image you hold will pass from imagination into awareness. And so she conceived and bore a son at that season. Your assumed state will likewise manifest when you dwell in the feeling of the end and acknowledge it as now. The birth is mental, not merely physical; it is the creation of a new possibility established in consciousness. The prophet's word is your word: imagine the end, stand in it, and let it become your living sense.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and in the I AM imagine embracing the son you desire; feel its warmth as if real and declare, I now possess this state in my life.
