Inner Presence Before Perception
2 Kings 3:14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Kings 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Elisha states his seeing is conditioned by an inner, righteous presence; he would not look toward the foe unless he recognizes Jehoshaphat's presence.
Neville's Inner Vision
Elisha speaks from the throne of the I AM awareness, not as a man appealing to outward power but as one who knows perception follows consciousness. 'As the LORD of hosts liveth, before whom I stand' is a confession that the eye is the servant of a living state of being. The 'presence of Jehoshaphat' stands for a rightful inner order—faith, obedience, and unshakable trust. When I regard that inner presence, my seeing widens; without it, the encounter remains dim or hostile. Your outer world is a mirror of your inner state: you are the one who stands before the Lord of Hosts. You do not force the other; you become the certainty that makes seeing possible, and the scene bows to your established mood. So turn inward and treat the inner kingly presence as already real. Practice by assuming that this presence is with you now; revise any sense of lack until you feel you stand in the light of God, and imagine the apparent problem seen through that light, until the vision shifts and what you behold reflects your inner Crown.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Assume you stand before the LORD of hosts now; envision the inner, kingly presence of faith and obedience with you, and feel that presence as real in your chest as you face any situation.
