Seeking the Inner Prophet
2 Kings 3:11-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jehoshaphat asks if a LORD-prophet is present to consult; a servant points to Elisha, and they affirm that the word of the LORD is with him, prompting the journey to seek guidance.
Neville's Inner Vision
Jehoshaphat’s query is not a search for a distant oracle but a turning of attention to the inner presence. The 'prophet of the LORD' is the state of consciousness that knows the word is already with you. When the servant speaks of Elisha, you glimpse the truth that the real teacher pours water on the hands of Elijah—humility, service, being tutored by what is true within. The moment you accept that the word of the LORD resides in your awareness, the three 'kings' within—your affirming will, your discernment, and your action—are brought into a single line of guidance. The outer journey becomes a reflection of your inner state: seeking outside but discovering that the guidance you seek is inward, ready to be heard when you still the mind and listen. Trust grows as you feel God’s presence as I AM within, and you move forward with a sure, untroubled step. The inner counsel is with you; the external path simply confirms what you already know in consciousness.
Practice This Now
Sit in stillness and assume you are already in the presence of your inner prophet; say quietly, 'The word of the LORD is with me now,' and feel the assurance permeate your body.
