Biblical Context
In 2 Kings 25:27-28, after Jehoiachin’s long captivity, Evil-merodach frees him, lifts his head, and sets his throne above the kings in Babylon.
Neville's Inner Vision
This passage is not about a historical release but about a moment in your own consciousness when you awaken to the truth that you are the I AM. Jehoiachin represents the self that has carried fear and limitation through a long spell of captivity—the sense that you are confined by appearances. Evil-merodach is the gracious energy of your present awareness that begins to reign in place of lack. When the head is lifted, it signals a rising level of awareness; to have the throne set above the others means your supreme identity now governs every thought, feeling, and circumstance. Mercy and favor are inner states won by faith in your true nature, not gifts granted from without. As you dwell in this realized state, the outer world will harmonize with your inner kingship because reality mirrors your inner conviction. The story invites you to claim that you are already crowned in consciousness, and the kingdom follows as a natural expression of that awareness.
Practice This Now
Assume the feeling of Jehoiachin’s release: imagine the inner king rising, your past limitations dissolving. Revise your sense of self and affirm 'I AM free now,' seating yourself on the inner throne of awareness.
