Inner Kings and Exile

2 Kings 24:19-20 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Kings 24 in context

Scripture Focus

19And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
20For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
2 Kings 24:19-20

Biblical Context

The verse describes how Zedekiah’s evil act mirrors Jehoiakim’s, and through the LORD's anger Jerusalem and Judah are cast out from God’s presence, culminating in rebellion against Babylon.

Neville's Inner Vision

In your inner kingdom, the language of evil, anger, exile, and rebellion is about states of consciousness. Evil is a disalignment with I AM, the Presence you are. The anger of the LORD is inner resistance that appears when you forget you are ruled by your own divine authority. If you persist in this resistance, you cast yourself out from the inner temple and your life follows that exile. The 'king of Babylon' is the name of fear-driven thinking seeking to govern from without; the cure is to enthrone the inner king within you. By assuming the state of the I AM—feeling the Presence as right now—you dissolve separation and exile yields to wholeness. Imagination creates reality, so live from that inner throne room where you are always loved, guided, and complete. When you dwell there, outer circumstances rearrange to reflect the restored alignment with your true ruler.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe, and assume you are in the inner temple; feel the Presence as your true awareness and revise a recent misstep by affirming: 'I am the Presence within; I govern this moment.'
