Biblical Context
Josiah dies and is carried away to his burial. The land then anoints Jehoahaz, Josiah's son, and makes him king in his father's stead.
Neville's Inner Vision
In you, the death of the old king marks the end of a former state of consciousness. The chariot ride from Megiddo to Jerusalem is the movement of your attention from conflict and history to the sacred center of awareness. When the land appoints Jehoahaz—the son of Josiah—as king in his father's stead, you are being shown a new ruling idea entering your life. Jehoahaz represents a fresh, energetic principle taking charge of your inner kingdom, while Josiah’s memory stands as the previous discipline and lineage you carried. The burial in his own sepulchre signals the release of the old pattern; the sepulchre is the private mind where you lay the past to rest. Your task is to acknowledge and nurture this new state by treating it as real, here and now, not as a distant prophecy. The inner crown is not earned but recognized; the I AM, the awareness you are, is now king over your thoughts, feelings, and decisions. Practice: close your eyes, declare 'I AM the king of this inner realm,' and feel the new authority radiating through you.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and silently crown your new self by repeating 'I AM the king of this inner realm' while imagining the old self being carried away. Then feel the reality of your new ruling state as you move through the day.
