2 Kings 22:9-10

Biblical Context

Shaphan the scribe brings word that money was gathered for the house of the LORD, and Hilkiah delivered a book; Shaphan then reads it to the king.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the tale the king is your I AM consciousness, and the book is the living law within. Shaphan represents awakened attention gathering energy and placing it into service of the temple of awareness; the money becomes your disciplined feeling and action directed to inner worship. Hilkiah delivering the book is your inner guide presenting a truth that rises above daily noise. When the book is read before the king, a new order stirs: to obey the commandments is to align your being with the truth of who you are and to commit to covenant loyalty with that truth. The overseers of the house are your habits and choices that must support the royal idea. This is not a past event but a shift of state: you return to the covenant by choosing to live as the inner truth you recognize. By this act the inner law becomes the living pattern of your days, transforming what you call reality.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly and declare, 'I am the Law within me.' Revise a current limitation into the truth of that statement, and feel it real by sensing the day ahead lived from this inner covenant.
