2 Kings 22:3-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Kings 22 in context

Scripture Focus

3And it came to pass in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, that the king sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, the son of Meshullam, the scribe, to the house of the LORD, saying,
4Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may sum the silver which is brought into the house of the LORD, which the keepers of the door have gathered of the people:
5And let them deliver it into the hand of the doers of the work, that have the oversight of the house of the LORD: and let them give it to the doers of the work which is in the house of the LORD, to repair the breaches of the house,
6Unto carpenters, and builders, and masons, and to buy timber and hewn stone to repair the house.
7Howbeit there was no reckoning made with them of the money that was delivered into their hand, because they dealt faithfully.
2 Kings 22:3-7

Biblical Context

2 Kings 22:3-7 shows Josiah directing funds to repair the temple, and the workers faithfully handling the money so the house is restored. There is no miscount because fidelity governs the process.

Neville's Inner Vision

Imagine you are the king of your own kingdom of consciousness. In the eighteenth year of your awareness, you send your Shaphan—a scribe of memory—to the temple of your being to count the silver of your energy the keepers of the door have gathered from your people. Let the money be delivered into the hands of the doers of the work—the builders in you who oversee your temple—so they may repair the breaches of your house. They will use timber and stone—your thoughts and feelings—to repair the cracks where fear, doubt, and longing have loomed. And remember: there is no reckoning required when the labor is done faithfully. Your inner accounts balance because you have dealt faithfully with life’s resources; there is no audit of guilt in the Supreme; only the steady restoration of your temple by trust and faithful action. When you stop doubting and begin feeling your assumption as fact, the house of the LORD is rebuilt within you, and all outward appearances echo that completed work.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the temple is already repaired. Feel the flow of your energy into the builders, and observe your inner accounts balancing as faithfulness becomes your reality.
