Inner Temple and the I AM
2 Kings 21:7-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage describes an idolatrous act within the temple and a conditional promise: the house and land are kept as long as the people follow all commands and the law given through Moses.
Neville's Inner Vision
That which dwells in the house and the land of your life is your state of consciousness. The grove-shaped image you have set up inside the house is a misplaced desire, a counterfeit image you cling to in place of the I AM. When you identify with that idol, your mental feet wander, and the outward life seems to drift from its true land. The Lord’s declaration that His name will dwell there forever is a declaration of your own awareness—the I AM—established at the center of your being. The covenant remains active as you observe the inner law: align consistently with the commands of the spiritual Moses within—the steady regard for truth, integrity of feeling, and obedience to your higher nature. With this inside, your temple holds, and your land remains secure. Imaginatively: assume you are the watcher who chooses the I AM as ruler of your mind. When an image of the grove arises, revise it instantly to the I AM seated on the throne of your heart, feeling it real. In that feeling, outer circumstances tend to follow your inner alignment, and the land stays unmoved because you live from the truth within.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: In a quiet moment, revise the grove into the I AM enthroned in your heart; feel the truth of God governing your land and softly repeat, 'I AM.'
