Crown of Inner Kingship
2 Kings 21:23-24 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Kings 21 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Amon's servants kill him in his house, and the people execute the conspirators, then crown Josiah as his replacement.
Neville's Inner Vision
Observe that the outer tale is a mirror of my inner kingdom. Amon's reign mirrors a mind still enthralled by fear, control, and aggression. The conspirators are the thoughts that would usurp the throne, the habits that maraud within the house of awareness. When they strike in the king's house, I am reminded that the house of consciousness must clear its royal chamber. The people slain against them represent the higher laws of the I AM at work, sweeping away what no longer serves. Then Josiah, the king spoken of as his son, is crowned—an inner renewal, a new ledge of attention, a fresh sovereignty arising in me. This is not history but a portrayal of my inner shift: when I refuse to entertain oppressive thoughts, when I align with the I AM, the old order collapses and a truer king is established within.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, close your eyes, and assume the feeling of being the sovereign I AM. Tell the mind, 'You are dethroned; I reign as king,' and imagine Josiah rising as your inner governor.
