2 Kings 2:3

Biblical Context

Two prophets inform Elisha of his master's imminent departure. He calmly acknowledges the news and tells them to hold their peace.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice that the report of change comes from without, yet the true event is within. The 'LORD will take away thy master' is not a historical notice but a sign that a state of consciousness is leaving your head—an old identification, a familiar sense of limitation. The Bethel band are not predicting the future; they are presenting a forecast your present mind is ready to hear. Elisha's response, 'Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace,' is the discipline of awareness: he does not feed the rumor with emotion, he chooses to observe the shift as already accomplished in the I AM. In Neville's terms, the master you follow is your inner state; when that state changes, your entire experience changes. The 'separation' is the withdrawal of a limiting thought from your throne of consciousness, opening the space for a greater master within. Do not cling to the form of the old; trust the inner movement, rest in the certainty of your I AM, and let the new awareness be welcomed as the real you.

Practice This Now

Tonight, sit quietly and imagine your inner Master already walking beside you. Revise every fear of loss into certainty of inner renewal.
