Hearing the Inner Covenant Voice

2 Kings 18:12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Kings 18 in context

Scripture Focus

12Because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD their God, but transgressed his covenant, and all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded, and would not hear them, nor do them.
2 Kings 18:12

Biblical Context

They did not listen to the LORD's voice, broke the covenant, and rejected Moses' commands. They would not hear or act on them.

Neville's Inner Vision

Here the text speaks not of a distant people but of your inner state. Read with Neville’s method: you are the LORD your God, and the voice you must heed is the I AM awareness that never leaves you. Disobedience is simply resisting the inner guidance, the covenant Moses represents as the law inscribed on your heart. When you feel deaf to the divine word, you are, in effect, breaking the inner agreement you live by. The cure is a change of state: assume that the voice is speaking now, revise your sense of distance from the command, and feel the command as already fulfilled. The moment you hear and act from that inner word, your outer world rearranges to reflect that alignment. Your life demonstrates exactly what your deeper conviction has allowed. So rather than lament the past, rest in the I AM that hears and obeys; that is the true covenant kept, and the true obedience that births harmony in your world.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: today, assume you have already heard the voice of the I AM and acted in accord. Close your eyes, repeat, 'I hear and obey the inner voice now,' and feel the reality of that obedience until your body relaxes into it.
