Inner Lions and the God Within
2 Kings 17:25-26 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
People living in the land forgot to honor the LORD, so lions came and killed some. They asked the king of Assyria for guidance because they did not know the manner of the God of the land.
Neville's Inner Vision
Viewed through my inner vision, the land is my present consciousness. When I forget the LORD—the I AM within—I summon lions: fear, ignorance, and restless thoughts that threaten peace. The king of Assyria represents my habit of seeking authority outside myself, instead of turning to the God inside. The phrase 'nations removed' becomes other states of mind I have displaced, and their unfamiliarity with the God of the land shows up as alarm until I remember and reclaim my divine pattern. The lions' assault is not punishment but a beckoning to awaken to the manner of God in me. If I assume the God within, feel it as real, and dwell as the awareness that knows itself as I AM, those inner lions fade and provision flows in the register of consciousness. The events teach the practice: awareness, not fear, is the true God of the land, and the manner of that God is known by direct experience in my own I AM.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and declare: I am the God of this land. Assume the manner of God within, feel it now, and watch fearful thoughts dissolve as you dwell in I AM.
