Biblical Context
Prophecy warned Israel; the LORD removed them from their land and carried them to Assyria. The passage presents exile as the outcome of a people turning away from covenant guidance.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, the story is not merely about a conquered people but about the inner state you inhabit. When the LORD removing Israel from his sight occurs, think of it as you turning away from the I AM—the land of unconditioned awareness. Israel carried away to Assyria represents the mind's drift into outer appearances, as if conditions ruled your life. The prophets are inner voices prompting you to awaken; their warnings become clear when you listen. Judgment and accountability are not punishment but a signal that your state of consciousness has drifted. Prophecy and Promise recur because you carry within you the authority to decide which land you inhabit. Return occurs when you refuse the dream of exile and re-state, with the imagination, that you are the I AM here and now. Your inner exile dissolves as you dwell in the awareness that never left you; the land within is always yours to possess. The external exodus is but a mirror of your inner revision.
Practice This Now
Assume you are already in your inner homeland by dwelling in the I AM now; feel it real by quietly affirming, 'I am in the land of God.'
