Inner Altar Awakening: 2 Kings 16:12
2 Kings 16:12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Kings 16 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
A king returns from Damascus, notices the altar, and approaches to offer on it.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the scene the king is your awakened consciousness; Damascus represents the outward scene of appearances. The altar is the inner sanctuary where choice, worship, and return to I AM take place. When he sees the altar and steps toward it, he is choosing to align with the inner truth instead of remaining in reaction. Offering thereon symbolizes presenting your state of consciousness to the God-I AM and releasing the old condition into the fire of imagination. The act transforms the inner life by turning attention from external circumstance toward the inner decision that you are already what you seek. What is offered becomes your ruling assumption, and the presence of God floods the chamber of the mind as you persist in that feeling. Thus, the outer king is a figure for your inner king: when you acknowledge the altar, you enact true worship—the consistent offering of your dreams through the consciousness that makes them real.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes; imagine stepping from the outward scene into your inner sanctuary. Approach the altar of your I AM and offer your wish as already fulfilled, then feel the reality of it now.
