Inner Guidance: Jehoash’s Path
2 Kings 12:2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Kings 12 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jehoash did what was right throughout his life, guided by Jehoiada the priest.
Neville's Inner Vision
Imagine that the LORD you seek is the I AM within, and every day is a rehearsal in inner obedience. Jehoash represents your current state of consciousness, and Jehoiada the priest is the inner higher mind—your discipline, your priestly guard who tells you what is true and ordained by God in you. When the king heeds that inner instruction, he evolves into the right action the moment it arises, not by effort alone but by aligning belief with divine order. The phrase 'in the sight of the LORD' is your awareness aligned with truth; 'all his days' is constancy of that alignment; and 'wherein Jehoiada instructed him' is the moment you listen to the inner guide and revise your self-concept accordingly. You are not obeying a person; you are consenting to the I AM as your constant governor. Practice: assume that you already inhabit the state of justified action, and let the instruction of your inner priest guide every choice. Through this, your days become a record of right action flowing from inner conviction.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare, I am guided by the inner priest. Then imagine a daily choice being made rightly, and feel the I AM approving it as real.
