Covenant Under the King's Crown
2 Kings 11:4-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Kings 11 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jehoiada gathers rulers at the temple, makes a covenant with them, and commands a disciplined watch to protect and crown the young king. The passage shows a deliberate, communal act to secure rightful leadership through covenant fidelity.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within me, the seven-year alignment of desire and realization unfolds as I gather the rulers of my mind—the intention, the faith, the will, the emotion, and the action—into the temple of my awareness. I covenant with them in the house of the LORD, my consciousness, and swear to guard the doorway against doubt. I then present the king’s son—the fulfilled state I seek—and crown him there, hearing the inner shout, God save the king, rise from within me. The guards around the king are my disciplined thoughts and daily habits, keeping the temple intact as I move through life. As I proceed, I am with the king, not as a distant ruler but as the one who stands behind the throne and guards the realm of my experience. This is inner sovereignty becoming outward reality: when the inner state is safeguarded by covenant and ceremony, the life outside reflects that crown I already wear in consciousness.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and, in stillness, assume the king’s crown already on your head; imagine the guards taking their posts around the temple and feel your desired state reigning now.
