Inner Purge Of Idolatry
2 Kings 10:20-23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jehu proclaims a Baal assembly, gathers every worshipper into Baal’s house, and keeps only Baal-worshippers, symbolizing a decisive act of removing idolatry.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of Baal as a fixed belief in the mind, not a distant deity. Jehu's solemn assembly is the moment you give a single thought prominence. The rush of worshippers through Israel mirrors the mind's clamor for that belief, until no room is left for anything else. The house of Baal becomes the inner chamber where a ritual identity is worn as vestments. When the vestry keeper brings forth vestments, you see how the mind clothes a belief with form. Entering with Jehonadab, Jehu's act to search for servants of the LORD is a call to purge the old self and make space for a single, true allegiance. This is not combat with God but a cleansing of belief so that only the awareness of I AM remains. The moment of true worship comes when the old idol is separated from direct awareness and you choose to identify with the I AM alone. In that choice you separate the true from the false and awaken to the one power within.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, declare I am the I AM and proclaim a solemn inner assembly of true worship. Feel the old idols dissolve as you revise belief to the I AM alone.
