Inner Zeal and the Chariot
2 Kings 10:15-17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Kings 10 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jehu meets Jehonadab and asks if their hearts are aligned. He invites Jehonadab into his inner purpose, signaling unity of heart and action.
Neville's Inner Vision
With the Neville lens, the 'heart right' is a state of consciousness, not a place. The 'zeal for the LORD' is the vibrant conviction of your I AM waking within you. When Jehu offers Jehonadab his hand and invites him into the chariot, you are shown that two aspects of consciousness can walk together only when their love is truly aligned. The hand is consent to let your higher self govern the path; the chariot is the vehicle of your imagination, swift and sure, carrying the decisiveness of a newly awakened inner will. To go to Samaria and destroy the remnants of Ahab is the act of purging the old self—the beliefs and habits that no longer serve your divine purpose—according to the inner law you choose as your own. This is not conquest of others but judgment in consciousness: you decide what to erase in your inner realm, so that your zealous nature, born of I AM awareness, can rule your life with clarity and justice.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and affirm, 'My heart is right with the I AM.' See Jehu lifting you into a bright chariot, feel the zeal for the LORD rise, and visualize releasing every remnant of the old self as you ride toward a renewed inner Samaria.
