Inner Purge of Kingship
2 Kings 10:11-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jehu destroys all that remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel and later orders the brethren of Ahaziah to be slain at the shearing house, leaving none of them alive.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within every consciousness there is a Jehu—the energy of awareness that will not tolerate the old, tyrannical king of limiting beliefs. When the text speaks of wiping out the house of Ahab and his kin, it is the inner clearing of those mental patterns that have claimed sovereignty over your life. The 'brethren of Ahaziah' symbolize old loyalties and habits you still honor as belonging to your former kingship; the ‘pit of the shearing house’ is the inner place where you release them. This is not external cruelty but the righteous order of your inner government, restoring purity and integrity to the throne of the I AM. As you accept and feel this inner purge, you make space for a truer sovereignty to reign—the I AM you actually are, free from past rulers. Trust that the elimination of these inner remnants makes your present awareness more luminous and authoritative, directing every thought toward justice and unity.
Practice This Now
Assume the role of Jehu within your consciousness and declare that all remnants of the old self are slain; then visualize walking from Jezreel into a cleansed inner space, the throne of your I AM clearly unoccupied by the past.
