The Inner Walk of Love

2 John 1:6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 John 1 in context

Scripture Focus

6And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
2 John 1:6

Biblical Context

This verse defines love as walking in the commandments. Obedience is love in action, an inner path heard from the beginning.

Neville's Inner Vision

Love here is not sentiment but a state of consciousness—the inner disposition that walks in the divine command. When you hear that love is to walk after his commandments, you are being invited to become the state that keeps faith with the inner law. The beginning speaks of an eternal pattern already in you, the I AM that is awareness and life. The commandments are not external rules to perform but inner instructions your imagination can live as if real. To love is to align your sense of self with that inner order, to allow your daily scenes to reflect the commandment as lived, not as a distant rule. Do not seek to obey as a struggle but revise your sense of self until you feel you are the one who walks in the law. In that shift, the world responds to the inner image you hold, and obedience becomes freedom, a natural expression of the God within I AM.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, breathe, and assume you already walk in the commandments of God within you. Repeat I walk in the commandments of God within me until that inner reality feels present now.
