Neville's Inner Vision
From the Neville lens, the 'elder' is the I AM within you, and the 'elect lady and her children' are the states of consciousness you cultivate as dwelling in Truth. The lines 'whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth' declare that true affection arises from awakened awareness, not from transient form. The phrase 'the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever' proclaims an eternal, inner Reality that cannot be lost by appearances. This is not a conditional blessing but a present fact: your inner truth is a permanent tenant in your being, and through this awareness you are forever united with Love. When you identify with this truth, you discover that your relationships, your family of consciousness, are expressions of your own recognition. The 'elect lady' and 'children' are your capacities, feelings, and actions governed by Truth. The passage invites you to dwell in the certainty that Truth is your eternal companion, sustaining perseverance, trust, and presence through every circumstance.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Assume the truth now—feel the I AM dwelling in you, holding you in Love forever. Close your eyes and repeat, 'The truth dwells in me and shall be with me for ever,' letting the sense of permanence fill your being.
