2 Corinthians 9:7-9

Biblical Context

Each person should give as they have purposed in their heart, freely and cheerfully, not grudgingly or under pressure. God promises to pour grace so you always have sufficiency for every good work.

Neville's Inner Vision

In this passage you are not commanded from without, but reminded of the living reality within: you are the I AM, awareness itself, and giving is the outward expression of your inner state. When you have purposed in your heart to give, you are aligning with the eternal rhythm of grace already within you. God’s abundance is your own consciousness becoming aware of itself—He is able to make all grace abound toward you so that you may always have sufficiency in all things, not to hoard, but to abound to every good work. Therefore, dwell in the joy of giving as the natural manifestation of your present fullness. Do not bargain with lack or yield to fear; instead, refresh your inner sense of abundance, and let that sense overflow into outward generosity. The act of giving becomes a proof of your unity with the divine supply. Your righteousness is not earned by the amount given, but maintained by the steadfast conviction that the same life that gives through you also sustains you. In this inner arrangement, giving is the clear sign that your whole world is held in grace.

Practice This Now

Practice this now: in a moment of stillness, assume you already possess all you require, and decide you give cheerfully from that abundance. See yourself releasing an amount as an act of love, then feel the enduring grace return as renewed sufficiency for every good work.
