Inner Cheerful Giving

2 Corinthians 9:7-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Corinthians 9 in context

Scripture Focus

7Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
8And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
2 Corinthians 9:7-8

Biblical Context

Paul urges giving from the heart, free from pressure. He promises that God provides grace so you have sufficiency for every good work.

Neville's Inner Vision

All giving in this scripture is not a transaction to a distant God, but a declaration of your inner state. When you decide in your heart to give, you are choosing the level of consciousness you will inhabit. Cheerfulness is the signal that your imagination is awake; it proves you know the I AM within you and that grace flows from that very awareness. God loveth a cheerful giver because the cheerful mood aligns the mind with its own abundance, not because He needs your coin. The promise that God is able to make all grace abound toward you is about inner sufficiency: as your inner state expands, grace circulates and you find you have in all things enough for every good work. Your external circumstances follow the soundtrack of your inner conviction. You are not begging; you are acknowledging a prepared storehouse inside. Live from that awareness, and you will see you abound toward every good work.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, decide in your heart to give cheerfully. Imagine the grace within pouring through you as abundant supply, so you may abound in every good work.
