Inner Readiness, Outer Bounty
2 Corinthians 9:3-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Corinthians 9 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul sends the brethren to ensure the gift is prepared, so Corinth’s offering is ready. The motive should be readiness and generosity, not covetousness.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your readiness to give is not a duty but a state of consciousness. The scene invites you to know that your I AM is the source of all supply and that your generosity begins before the gift is seen by another. If you imagine yourself as one who already has more than enough, you dissolve fear of lack and allow the flow to register outwardly. The messengers who go before you are your future self, the inner conviction that you are abundant and free to give. When you make your bounty ready in imagination, you shift from a covenant with lack to a covenant with abundance, so covetousness cannot dwell in the heart that lives in fullness. The outward collection then becomes a natural expression of your inner wealth, not a mere transaction. In this way, the act of preparing beforehand is really the creation of a life that mirrors your inner abundance.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Close your eyes, breathe, and declare, 'I am the source of all provision; my bounty is already present.' Revise any sense of lack and feel the abundance flowing through you as you give.
