Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul names Titus and the brethren as ambassadors, the glory of Christ among the churches. He asks the Corinthians to show their love publicly before all the assemblies.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of Titus and the 'brethren' not as external figures but as aspects of your own awareness. The verse says these messengers are the glory of Christ—the radiant evidence that a new state of consciousness has awakened. When you inquire within, you find every act of generosity, every warm exchange, is a sign of the inner proclamation: I am abundant; I am one with what I give. The 'churches' are the temples of your mind gathering in reverence wherever you choose to extend love. To your present state of being, these messengers testify that you are already what you intend to be. The proof of love before the churches is not a ledger of deeds but a calibration of feeling: if you can feel as one who gives, you have already performed. Your boasting on their behalf is simply the consciousness that follows a completed act—the inner recognition that your world reflects your inner decision.
Practice This Now
Assume the inner role of Titus—your partner in the life of your community—and feel the glory of Christ shining through your generosity. Then revisit a real act of giving in imagination until it feels completed and present.
