Ready Mind, Generous Heart
2 Corinthians 8:10-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Corinthians 8 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul urges the Corinthians to move from willingness to actual giving. The call rests on inner readiness, not external wealth.
Neville's Inner Vision
Imagine the words as a door into your own consciousness. The readiness to will is the inner approval, the ignition that says, I can give because I am the giving I seek to see. God, the I AM within, does not assess you by what you lack but by the faith you entertain in your own sufficiency. When there is first a willing mind, the outer act is simply the natural expression of an inward state that has already been formed. You began this movement a year ago, not as a memory of duty, but as a present invitation your inner self accepted. Therefore, the "expedience" Paul speaks of is the immediate alignment of consciousness with abundance; the performance follows the perception you hold about yourself. Do not wait for circumstances to be rearranged; cultivate the knowing that your willingness is the cause and your action is its echo. As you hold this inner position, you will notice that giving is not a burden but an emanation of your true nature, and obedience becomes joyful faithfulness rather than rule-bound effort.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and repeat: 'I have a ready mind; I give now from abundance.' Then visualize the gift already complete and feel grateful as if the act were done.
