Biblical Context
Paul speaks of the grace of God poured into the Macedonian churches. In their great trial of affliction, their joy and their deep poverty overflow into liberality.
Neville's Inner Vision
Observe that the 'grace' Paul speaks of is not a gift dropped from without, but an inner state you enter. The Macedonian churches are praised because, in a great trial of affliction, their abundance of joy and their deep poverty do not sink into despair; they create liberality through the steadfastness of consciousness. In your life, the great trial you face is a stage for your own awareness to reveal its riches. Poverty becomes a signal to revise your sense of self; the more you claim the I AM as your total supply, the more joy rises and the outward act of generosity follows as a natural expression. Grace here is the perpetually available inner grace you turn on by an assumption, a felt sense, and a vivid imagination that you already possess abundance. When you dwell in that state, you find that the riches of liberality spring from your inner wealth, not from circumstances. Your outward world aligns with your inner conviction.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: In the next moment, assume the end—declare 'I AM abundance now'—and feel the joy rise. Then act from that felt fullness by giving or serving as if your inner wealth were already real.
