Honor and Truth Under Pressure
2 Corinthians 6:8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Corinthians 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse notes that we are treated with both honor and dishonor, and with evil and good reports, while sometimes being labeled deceivers even as we remain true.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider that honor and dishonor, and the contrasts of praise or slander, are not external judgments but reflections of your present state of consciousness. The line as deceivers, and yet true, reveals a split between outward appearance and inner reality. You are not being condemned by others; you are witnessing the content of your own I AM in this moment. The I AM, your aware self, remains untouched by crowds, reports, or reputations. To change the scene, align with the inner truth you wish to wear as your own. Imagine you are already the truth that others deny or applaud; feel the reality of your integrity so deeply that the outer reports lose their power to define you. In this light, every accusation or compliment becomes an echo of your inner state, which you can revise by one act: assume the truth of your being and feel it real. When you hold that inner conviction, the apparent deceivers become the channel through which your true nature shines.
Practice This Now
Practice: Sit quietly and revise the scene by affirming that you are the truth of your being, regardless of outward reports, and feel it real. Do this daily, especially when faced with praise or blame.
