Sacred Separation Now

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Corinthians 6 in context

Scripture Focus

14Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18

Biblical Context

The passage urges believers to separate from influences that clash with righteousness, reminding them they are the temple of the living God and that God will dwell with them. It promises covenant loyalty and God's fatherly presence when this inner separation is embraced.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this chapter the true issue is a state of consciousness, not a social rule. Unequal yokings are merely beliefs that pretend to hold two opposed powers. Light is living awareness; darkness is the memory of fear. When you remember you are the temple of the living God, the indwelling presence becomes your real experience, for God walks with you only as you consent to the I AM within. Belial, idols, and infidelity are the stories you previously believed; when you refuse to identify with them, you terminate the 'unclean' image and invite the divine to dwell. The covenant is a present relationship: you are the child of the Most High, and the Lord becomes Father to you as you stand in this inner boundary. Practice is internal: decide you are already separated from any state that does not reflect righteousness, and let the inner God-ship reorder your outer life to match the inner vow.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly and assume, right now, that you are the temple of the living God. Revise any thought that denies this and feel the I AM dwelling in you as your present reality.
