Read 2 Corinthians 5 in context

Scripture Focus

18And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
2 Corinthians 5:18

Biblical Context

All things come from God; He has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ. He has entrusted us with the ministry of reconciliation.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the passage as stating your inner relation to God: all is God, and God has reconciled you to Himself in Christ. Reconciliation is not a distant historical event, but a state of awareness you assume. Within your mind, the crucifixion and resurrection are inner movements by which separation dissolves as you, the I AM, awaken to the truth that you are already enfolded in the Father’s embrace. The ministry of reconciliation is the daily act of aligning your thoughts with that unity—forgiving, accepting, and refusing to keep a record of wrongs. When you imagine another as truly reconciled to you, you practice the ministry in your inner life, and that energy radiates outward, transforming circumstances because it comes from God within you. Your consciousness, not external happenings, is the substance of reconciliation; dare to live as if you are the channel through which God reconciles the world to Himself, already complete in this moment.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume the state 'I am reconciled to God through Jesus Christ' and feel it real; revise a current grievance by silently affirming the other as forgiven and part of your inner harmony.
