Inner Terror That Persuades

2 Corinthians 5:11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Corinthians 5 in context

Scripture Focus

11Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
2 Corinthians 5:11

Biblical Context

The verse teaches that awareness of the Lord's power motivates persuasive ministry, and that our inner state is exposed to God and to the conscience of others.

Neville's Inner Vision

To Neville, the terror of the Lord is not fear of punishment but the awakening presence of the I AM within. When you know that presence, you act from your highest state and let the imagination demonstrate truth rather than argue it. We are made manifest unto God, meaning our private state shines in the room of the heart for the Infinite to see. And I trust also are made manifest in your consciences, for those who hear you feel the alignment between your words and your inner life. The ministry you offer becomes a revelation of inner reality, not a clever sermon. The persuasion arises from living as the truth you claim, the inner state you have assumed becoming visible in others. Therefore the terror becomes a tender alarm, urging consistency between what you believe and how you live, and inviting others to awaken to their own I AM by your example.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, and assume the state you want to be seen in others. Declare I AM present here as the truth, and revise any doubt until your inner state feels real.
