Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul declares that a divine treasure dwells in fragile human vessels. Despite trouble and trials, the life of Jesus can be made manifest through our mortal flesh.
Neville's Inner Vision
To read this text through the I AM is to see your consciousness as the vessel carrying a treasure. The 'earthen vessel' is your present sense of self—the thoughts, body, and conditions you call 'mine.' The 'excellency of the power' is God within, the I AM that animates all you call you. It is not outside you; it is your own awareness shining through a temporary form. When Paul writes that we are troubled on every side, yet not distressed, he invites you to treat every circumstance as a signal to turn inward and awake to your true life. Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed—these are the dramatic settings for the life of Jesus to reveal itself in your flesh. If you concede that power is God in you, then the trials cease being punishments and become invitations to feel the Resurrection life right now. Your suffering is the dying of the old self, the place where the living Christ emerges into your daily experience. Remember: the world you meet is the stage; the actor is the I AM in you.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, rest a hand on your chest, and revise: I am the I AM; the life of Jesus is manifesting in my mortal flesh now. Feel the power flowing as present reality.
