Read 2 Corinthians 4 in context

Scripture Focus

6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 4:6

Biblical Context

God's light is an inner illumination that shines in our hearts, revealing the knowledge of God's glory as made manifest in Jesus Christ.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, the verse is not about an event happening somewhere out there, but about God awakening the I AM within you. When He commanded light to shine, He released your inner sight—the light of knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Darkness is only a belief in separation; the moment you regard the inner ray as yours, you begin to know Him as your own awareness. The face of Jesus Christ is the outward expression of divine life in your present consciousness; as you rest in that truth, grace and favor pour forth, and wisdom and discernment become natural perceptions. Presence is not elsewhere; it is attention rightly placed on your true self. You are not waiting for a miracle; you are the miracle appearing as you. The inner light reveals that the glory you seek is already shining within you, ready to be seen in every moment.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume the state now—say 'I am the light of God shining in my heart' and feel it expanding; if doubt arises, revise to 'There is only God here, and I am He'.
