Hidden Gospel Light Within

2 Corinthians 4:3-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Corinthians 4 in context

Scripture Focus

3But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4

Biblical Context

The verses say the gospel can be hidden to those who are lost, and the god of this world blinds the minds of those who do not believe, so the light of Christ may not shine in them.

Neville's Inner Vision

To Paul’s words, imagine that gospel is not a distant doctrine but a state of consciousness you awaken. The god of this world is the carnal mind persuading you that you are bound by appearances. When a mind clings to belief in lack, the light that would reveal the image of God within you is blinded. Yet the glorious gospel shines whenever you drop the old frame and claim the truth of I AM—that you are the image of God, not separated from Him by circumstance. The moment you refuse to identify with the lost, you reverse the image and invite light into your inner world. The lost are those who trust the senses; you are the knower who can revise the impression. The gospel is always present as your real condition, awaiting your assumption to become your experience. Your task is not to persuade others but to re-anchor your self-conception in the truth of inner light.

Practice This Now

In stillness, assume you are the light and that the darkness you perceive is only a mistaken image. Feel the inner sight awaken and the gospel light shine in your mind as you repeat I am the light of the world until the shift occurs.
